Posted on September 29th, 2011 No commentsThe organizers of the 2011 RWM in partnership with CIWM (Chartered Institution of Wastes Management) event have proclaimed the mid-September trade show “a huge success” that was “the largest ever exhibition for the waste industry [in the United Kingdom] with 13,000 visitors and over 650 exhibitors.” During the 2011 event , show organizers also revealed plans for next year’s RWM in partnership with CIWM, which will take place at the NEC facility in Birmingham, England. BHS Adds Sales Representative

Indonesian Company Adds SSI Shredder
Posted on August 2nd, 2011 No commentsTangerang, Indonesia-based PT Teknotama Lingkungan Internusa (TLI), an EcoStar Group company, and SSI Shredding Systems , based in Wilsonville, Ore., have teamed up to develop a shredder to reduce the size of post-industrial material that allows the company to convert the material to an alternative fuel. TLI has completed construction on a new facility in West Java, Indonesia, that converts post-industrial material to alternative fuel. BAN Denies Certification to Illinois Electronics Recycler
Posted on July 14th, 2011 No commentsAccording to a press release issued by the Seattle-based Basel Action Network (BAN), the electronics recycling company Intercon Solutions , Chicago Heights, Ill., has been denied the organization’s e-Stewards certification . BAN says the denial was based on “compelling evidence” that Intercon Solutions had been engaged in exporting hazardous electronic scrap to China. In response, Intercon has rejected the accusations that it was the party shipping the hazardous material and has filed a petition in the Circuit Court of Cook County (Ill.) against CMA CGM, the U.S

There is not any particular demand for any material except for some of the high grades. There is more than enough of the high grades of scrap available, and people just keep pushing to sell it to the mills.
