Green for Life Purchases Turtle Island Recycling

( TIR ), a recycling firm based in Toronto. According to GFL, the combination of the two companies creates the largest waste management and recycling company in southern Ontario

U.S. Recovered Paper Consumption is Flat in August
Posted on September 30th, 2011 No commentsThe American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA), Washington, D.C., says domestic consumption of recovered fiber for August 2011 was 2.56 million tons, a 6 percent drop from August 2010. The figures for this August are essentially the same as July 2011’s domestic consumption figures.

Jernigan, who spent his entire career in the metals industry, began working at Alloys and Chemicals in Cleveland in 1961. Alcoa to Expand Iowa Aluminum Rolled Products Plant
Posted on September 20th, 2011 No commentsAlcoa has announced plans to expand its Davenport, Iowa aluminum rolled products plant to meet rising demand from the automotive market. The company says that it will invest an estimated $300 million on the expansion, which will take the company’s aerospace materials facility and create a production facility dedicated to the automotive market.
