Global Scrap Management Opening Aluminum Ingot Plant
Posted on August 30th, 2011 No commentsGlobal Scrap Management (GSM), Milford, Ohio, has announced plans to open an aluminum ingot production facility in Batavia, Ohio. The company says that its new division, known as Altimet, will install new melt technology that will allow the company to provide higher yields and reduce the cost of transforming scrap into aluminum ingots. GSM, founded in 2003, specializes in processing industrial aluminum machining scrap, including turnings.

Aluminum Regains Its Footing

Nickel and stainless steel markets, however, are among the few exceptions. As of mid-June, several sources say signs point to a pullback in price and demand for nickel and stainless markets.
