Steel of West Virginia Investing $15 Million at West Virginia Steel Mill
Posted on March 10th, 2011 No commentsSteel of West Virginia Inc., headquartered in Huntington, W.V., has announced plans to invest around $15.1 million in capital projects in 2011, primarily at the company’s No. 2 rolling mill facility in Huntington, W.V. “The new equipment includes a dual stacker system, a yield optimizing shear, state of the art rolling mill control systems and upgrades to our mill stands,” says Timothy Duke, president of Steel of West Virginia Inc.

Severstal North America Sells Three U.S. Facilities to The Renco Group

Steel Technologies Plans to Acquire Nupro Steel
Posted on February 26th, 2011 No commentsSteel Technologies LLC , based in Louisville, Ky., has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to acquire the business and certain assets of NuPro Steel, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nucor Corp. Steel Technologies expects to complete the acquisition by April 2011, subject to the execution of a definitive purchase agreement.
