Hilex Poly, ChicoBag Reach Settlement over False Marketing Claims
Posted on September 22nd, 2011 No commentsHilex Poly Company LLC , Hartsville, S.C., a manufacturer and recycler of plastic bags, films and wraps has reached a settlement agreement with ChicoBag, a manufacturer of reusable bags, resolving a lawsuit in which Hilex Poly contended that ChicoBag was making false marketing claims against it. The agreement resulted in an undisclosed settlement payment to Hilex Poly from ChicoBag

Posted on July 25th, 2011 No commentsIn mid-June, the U.S. District Court in Syracuse, N.Y., struck down the flow control law in Oswego County, N.Y., saying it was unconstitutionally vague. The flow control provisions of the law, which were enacted in July 1, 2009, directed all solid waste and residential recyclables to county facilities.
