Healthcare IT chief takes on meaning of ‘meaningful’
Posted on October 1st, 2009 No commentsIn an open letter e-mailed Thursday, National Coordinator for Health Information Technology David Blumenthal discusses what the government means when it refers to the “meaningful use of electronic health records.” The term “meaningful use” has been the subject of much discussion since the federal government tied it into eligibility for incentive payments aimed at promoting the uptake of healthcare information technology.

That’s according to governance research and rating firm GovernanceMetrics International, which found that standardized disclosure of company-wide risk management is lacking.

PCI Debate Ignores Planned Improvement Cycle

Both before and since those hearings, myriad industry pundits have spent copious amounts of their time bashing PCI and complaining that is does not work and therefore should be abandoned.
