Ford Motor Boosts Use of Recycled PET
Posted on January 9th, 2012 No commentsFord Motors says it plans to significantly increase its use of post-consumer plastics in its vehicles through the use of Repreve plastic. The company expects to divert around 2 million post-consumer plastic bottles in its automobiles, starting with its 2012 Focus Electric, the first vehicle to feature branded Repreve’s seat fabric made from a hybrid blend of recycled plastic bottles and post-consumer waste.

Liquid Technology Named an e-Stewards Enterprise

ISO 14001 is a voluntary certification requiring that an organization put in place and implement a series of practices and procedures that result in an environmental management system. According to a release, the company says a number of ways it will meet the commitment is by ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental legislation and regulations, and to continuously improve electronic scrap management practices and reduce consumption of natural resources

Round2 Opens Atlanta Processing Facility
Posted on August 16th, 2011 No commentsRound2 Inc. , headquartered in Austin, Texas, has opened a new processing facility in Atlanta. The 258,000-square-foot electronics recycling facility will increase Round2’s processing capacity by 52 percent and is expected to process more than 4 million pounds of material per month, the company says.
