AHA Endorses ‘Risk Threshold’ in HHS’ Data-Breach Notification Rule

Consequently, it is feared that patients’ private information might have been in danger of identity theft, as the worms damaging the PCs are also hackers’ instruments to capture personal information.

Posted on July 29th, 2009 No commentsThe American Bar Association urges attorneys to contact legislators to promote its ongoing efforts to persuade the Federal Trade Commission to exempt lawyers from the new “Red Flags Rule.” The FTC has said that it will begin enforcing the rule, which is designed to protect against identity theft, on Aug. 1.
