OSHA Cites Union Metal Trading for Safety Violations
Posted on March 21st, 2011 No commentsThe U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has issued 16 safety and health citations against Union Metal Trading Inc., a scrap metal recycling firm in Jacksonville, Fla., after one worker suffered the amputation of three fingers and another worker had the tip of his finger amputated while working at the plant. An OSHA release notes says that a willful citation was issued to the company for allowing workers to operate machinery with a broken guard that was designed to keep operators from being exposed to amputation injuries.

OSHA Cites Pallet Recycler for Violations
Posted on March 10th, 2011 No commentsThe U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has cited Ifco Systems’ pallet recycling facility in Henderson, Colo., with one repeat and five serious citations for improper machine guarding. The fine followed an inspection conducted by OSHA
