TJX Hacker Makes Plea Deal, Faces 15 to 25 Years
Posted on August 29th, 2009 No commentsAlbert Gonzalez – the hacker accused of breaching Heartland Payment Systems – agreed Friday to plead guilty to conspiracy, wire fraud and aggravated identity theft in another high-profile case, the 2005 breach of TJX and other retailers. He will formally make his plea on Sept. 11.

Legislation seeks to help small practices with IT costs
Posted on June 26th, 2009 No commentsLegislation was introduced during a hearing of the House Committee on Small Business’ Subcommittee on Regulations and Healthcare earlier this week to help small medical practices in adopting healthcare IT. Subcommittee Chairwoman Kathy Dahlkemper (D-Pa.) introduced the Small Business Health Information Technology Financing Act, designed to help providers overcome the financial barriers to implementing healthcare technology.
