TCS will offer rotational molding services and custom compounding, according to Wastequip.

RockTenn Expanding Corporate Headquarters

Nathan Deal has announced that RockTenn , based in Norcross, Ga., is investing $5 million to expand its corporate headquarters and add 500 jobs. “RockTenn expanding its corporate headquarters here is big news, not only because 500 new jobs will be created, but also because this top Fortune 500 company has chosen Georgia as the best place to keep doing business for years to come,” says Deal.

Severstal North America Starts Up New Line at Michigan Facility

The line cost around $450 million and is expected to ramp up to full capacity of 2.1 million tons within six months. Akron Mayor Don Plusquellic says, “The facility will contribute to the growth and sustainability of Akron by returning an existing building to a manufacturing purpose with significant investment for equipment, building use and creation of new green jobs.” Matt Delnick, Greenstar CEO, says, “We are committed to our partnership with the city of Akron to further develop its local recycling services. This facility will allow Akron to continue to offer its businesses and residents the convenience of single-stream recycling – eliminating the need to pre-sort recyclables – while growing its local economy with new investment and a minimum of 45 new green jobs.” In addition to processing conventional curbside collected recyclables, the facility will include technology to convert recovered plastics into synthetic crude oil
