This Fall, the Senate is expected to consider legislation designed to improve cybersecurity in the private sector, and help businesses combat cyber criminals.
Senate plots cybercrime counterattack
The new lab will be equipped to handle additional requests from local police departments and other state agencies that need assistance in their investigations. To date, the AG’s Office has trained more than 1,000 Massachusetts law enforcement officers and cyber crime experts nationwide, primarily in the area of identity theft.
