Lars Koller has joined Archdale, N.C.-based Vecoplan LLC , a manufacturer of size reduction equipment, as a sales and project management engineer. Koller brings 10 years of engineering experience from Focke & Co., working first in research and development at the company’s Germany headquarters and then as manager of the design department at Focke’s Whitsett, N.C., facility. Koller’s responsibilities will include coordinating the design and development of turnkey shredding systems for the recycling sector.

wTe Corp. , Bedford, Mass., has announced its Spectramet subsidiary has completed the design, manufacture and installation of its first commercial scale proprietary ZebraSort metal alloy sorter.

Container loading systems are designed to eliminate much of the hassle involved with loading overseas shipping containers. They also have helped to provide an alternative to bulk shipping scrap overseas, a sometimes costly and time-consuming process

Vecoplan LLC , High Point, N.C., has added Kevin Young to its engineering department. Young graduated with honors from North Carolina A&T State University in May of 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. After a three-month apprenticeship with Vecoplan he has been hired as a product engineer.

The Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corp. (RIRRC), Johnston, R.I., has awarded a contract to upgrade its existing dual stream recycling material recovery facility (MRF) to a Bollegraaf 50 tons-per-hour single stream system. Van Dyk Baler, Stamford, Conn., is responsible for the design, project management, installation and start-up of RIRRC’s new system.
