In an exclusive interview, Coffman discusses: The status of legal actions against Heartland; What’s unique about the Heartland case; What consumers and financial institutions can expect to see going forward. After practicing several years as a CPA with two international accounting firms, Coffman received his law degree from the University of Texas in 1989.

Four debt relief companies face Texas charges

The company was thus also charged with violating the Texas Identity Theft Enforcement and Protection Act, which carries penalties between $2,000 and $50,000 per violation of the act.
