Global Environmental Services’ Texas Plant Receives ISO Certifications

The certifications include ISO 9001:2008 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental) and OSHAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety).

WRAP Study Finds Opportunities for Hard to Recycle Plastics
Posted on November 8th, 2011 No commentsAccording to the findings of a series of trials funded by U.K.-based Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP) , it is possible to recycle almost all plastic packaging waste from residents. WRAP’s trials find that despite more than 300,000 metric tons of plastic packaging being collected for recycling each year, more than a million metric tons of plastic scrap are still being landfilled because of the difficulty of collecting and recycling films, the difficulty in detecting and sorting black plastics and the lack of high-value markets for non-bottle plastics
