The document destruction firm Russell Richardson , headquartered in Sheffield, U.K., has expanded its commercial waste disposal offerings to include hard drive shredding services. The company says the decision to add hard drive destruction follows the growing problem of identity theft in the U.K. Jonathan Richardson, managing director of Russell Richardson, says, “Despite the numbers of companies falling victim to corporate identity theft rising each year and instances of financial details left on hard drives being utilized for criminal activity, best practice for computer equipment disposal continues to be ignored.
