Indorama Acquiring European Plastics Recycling Firm

Ltd., based in Bangkok, has signed an agreement with WIT Beteiligungs GmbH and Wellman International Trading, affiliates of the holding company Aurelius AG, to acquire a 100 percent stake in the recycling and fiber manufacturing businesses of Wellman International in Europe for around €42 million (US$56.6 million)

SRS’s U.K. Electronics Recycling Facilities Receive R2 Certification

R2 is a voluntary standard that uses downstream auditing to ensure electronics recyclers are operating to the highest international environmental, health, safety and security standards

There is not any particular demand for any material except for some of the high grades. There is more than enough of the high grades of scrap available, and people just keep pushing to sell it to the mills.

Dutch Recycler Enters Final Stage of Acquiring Majority Share of Schrott Wetzel
Posted on March 2nd, 2011 No commentsThe Ecore Group, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, has entered the final stage of its acquisition of a 70 percent share in Schrott-Wetzel, a scrap metal recycling company based in Mannheim, Germany. In a release, Ecore says the deal will boost its size to become one of the largest scrap metal recyclers in Europe. The Schrott Wetzel Group is the fifth largest recycling company in Germany.
