Global Scrap Management (GSM), Milford, Ohio, has announced plans to open an aluminum ingot production facility in Batavia, Ohio. The company says that its new division, known as Altimet, will install new melt technology that will allow the company to provide higher yields and reduce the cost of transforming scrap into aluminum ingots. GSM, founded in 2003, specializes in processing industrial aluminum machining scrap, including turnings.

Ing. Bonfiglioli s.P.a., a manufacturer of balers, shears, and shredders based in Bologna, Italy, reports being pleased with its experience as a first-time exhibitor at the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc.
