Cronimet Poland Opening New Plant
Posted on April 13th, 2011 No commentsCronimet Poland, headquartered in Onowroclaw, Poland, has announced plans to open a new facility at the port of Szczecin, Poland. The new site will be used to purchase, process and trade alloyed scrap, primarily stainless steel scrap. Cronimet Poland expects the start-up of the new plant by the second half of 2012.

TMS International Sets Date for IPO

The company hopes to complete the initial sale of 12.5 million shares of class A common stock by April 19. The company had first scheduled, and then postponed, the IPO, in late March 2011.

Chinese Scrap Industry to Gather in Foshan in May

There are two forums that comprise event, according to the CRRA. The Metal Forum will take place May 12-14 in Foshan, Guangdong province and the Plastics Forum will be May 14-16 in Guangzhou, Guangdong province.

Graphic Packaging Acquires Sierra Pacific Packaging

(GPH) has announced plans to acquire the assets of Sierra Pacific Packaging Inc., a producer of folding cartons, beverage carriers and corrugated boxes for the consumer products industry. GPH, headquartered in Marietta, Ga., also is a manufacturer of packaging products for the consumer products industry.

EPA Orders Grimmel Industries to Address Polluted Water Discharges
